2016 Scholarship Recipient
Jasmine Miller is the daughter of Marie Miller of Jamaica and Todd Miller Sr. She is a freshman at New York University, double-majoring in psychology and neuroscience on the pre-health track. She is highly involved in theater, piano, writing, and her job as an early childhood assistant teacher. Currently participating in her university’s writing club, Writers Block, she is working toward publishing her short stories. Outside of her hobbies, working with children has influenced her academic path. She chose both of her majors to become a child psychiatrist, hoping to further impact the younger generation individually outside of an educational setting. Jasmine’s hometown is Middletown, Delaware where her mother, father, and brother reside.
